Introduction |
|
The Department of
Industrial Engineering was established in 1995 in the Faculty of
Engineering, University of Tehran. The main objective of this
department has been to train specialists for service and
industrial sectors. Students are admitted for B.Sc and M.Sc.
programs in this department through a competitive national
entrance exam every year. Strong teaching and research
activities have been carried out in this department in the
fields of manufacturing, supply chain management, CAD/CAM,
quality management , operations research, system simulation,
energy engineering and transportation systems. Master programs
in this department are in the following fields:
Socioeconomic Engineering,
MBA.
At the present time, the Industrial Engineering Department has
14 full time faculty members including 5 Associate Professors
and 9 Assistant Professors. This department currently has 200
undergraduate and 105 graduate students. |
